Senior Camp (Grades 5 – 8)

Ages: Campers entering grades 5 through 8 in September 2023
Hours: 9:00 am – 4:00 pm

Our oldest campers get the most freedom to tailor their activities to their current interests. With the guidance of our skilled counselors, your camper can customize their entire day with optional morning swim lessons in our heated pools, an extended morning elective and the same series of afternoon electives they’ve enjoyed in previous summers. And to make Senior Camp even more fun, we take weekly field trips every Wednesday to kid-approved summer destinations like Water Country, Canobie Lake Park, Fenway Park and the New England Aquarium.

Additional Information:

  • 1:10 counselor-to-camper ratio
  • 90-minute morning extended electives
  • 3 weekly afternoon electives with dozens of options
  • Optional Red Cross swim instruction
  • Weekly field trips to different destinations historically including Water Country, United Skates of America, Canobie Lake Park and the New England Aquarium
  • Daily lunch and snack provided by Beaver and included in tuition

Swimming

  • Swim Lessons – Daily Red Cross lessons are taught by certified lifeguards and swim instructors in our outdoor heated pools (Senior Campers may opt out of instructional swim if agreed to by their parents.)
  • Free Swim – Campers have the option of an additional free swim each afternoon

Senior Camp Electives

Morning Extended Elective

  • Offered on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings from 10:15 am – 12:00 pm
  • Senior campers select an in-depth activity from at least six choices
  • Specific examples include Chopped Kitchen, Making Music Videos, Ceramic Tableware, Olympic Sports, and Model Rocket Engineering
  • New offerings designed each week by our creative specialists and Senior Camp staff

Afternoon Electives

  • Senior campers choose 3 activities to do each afternoon for the entire week
  • 12-15 elective options each period, including Flag Football, Digital Video, Bookmaking, Lego Robotics, Wiffle Ball, Delicious Desserts, Jazzy Jewelry, Hip-Hop Dance and many more
  • New offerings designed each week by our creative specialists and Senior Camp staff
  • Some electives are for Senior and Upper campers combined, while others are exclusively for Senior campers

Extended Day

Want more camp? You’ve got it. Our weekly Extended Day programs are available to all Senior Campers for an additional fee.  For more info, click here.

7:30-8:30 am – Drop off your camper up to an hour earlier than the regular drop-off at 8:30 am.

4:00-6:00 pm – Extend your camper’s day as late as possible to give them full access to more activities.

Bus Transportation

Why not let someone else be the driver? We’ll safely shuttle your camper to and from Beaver by bus. For more info, click here.
